Candy Cane Staff
Staff, rare (requires attunement by a druid, sorcerer, warlock, or wizard)
While attuned to the staff you have resistance to cold damage. In addition, you smell like peppermint and your breath can be seen when you breathe, no matter what the temperature may be.
This staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. While holding it, you have a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls.
The staff has 10 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to spew magical energy from your mouth in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 1d6 cold damage per charge used on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The staff regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff shatters and is destroyed
Elixir of the Snowfolk
Potion, Rare
When you drink this elixir, your body is magically altered to be made of snow for 1 hour. Temperatures above freezing do not cause you to melt. You gain the following:
- You are immune to cold damage
- You are resistant to non-magical Piercing and Slashing Damage
- Snow and ice are not rough terrain for you.
- You are vulnerable to fire damage and non-magical bludgeoning damage
Holiday Cup
Wondrous Item, Uncommon
When you drink coffee or tea from this ornate holiday cup, choose Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, or Initiative. You have advantage on the next ability check (or initiative roll) of the selected type.
The contents of the cup must be consumed at least 10 minutes prior to receiving the benefits of the item. The holiday cup can only be used once per long rest. When you finish a long rest without using the extra die roll, you lose the unused roll.
Icicle Wand
Wand, rare
While you are holding this wand, you can use it as an arcane focus for your spells and you gain a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls and to the saving throw DCs of your sorcerer, warlock or wizard spells.
While holding the wand you can temporarily replace the damage type of your sorcerer, warlock or wizard spells with cold damage. You have resistance to cold damage.
Veeza’s Gift Card
Wondrous Item, varies
This flat, rectangular coin measures about 2×4 inches and is made of either silver, electrum, gold or silver. These are commonly referred to as “coin-cards”. Veeza Gift Cards have an arcane script displaying the number 100 in the top-right corner. This notes that the coin-card is worth 100 pieces of whatever metal it is made of. For example a gold coin-card is worth 100 gp.
While holding a Veeza Gift Card in your hand you may think of any one item from the equipment list of your player’s handbook. If the item’s value is equal to or less than the number on the coin-card in the metal type’s currency, then that item will appear in an unoccupied space next to you.
The arcane numeral will display the remaining amount left on the coin-card after each use, rounding up. For example if using a gold card to think of an 8sp item, this will expend 1gp worth from the card.
Veeza Gift Cards or “coin-cards” are available in denominations of 100 as follows:
- Silver – common
- Electrum – uncommon
- Gold – rare
- Platinum – very rare
Snow Globe of the Winter Cabin
Wonderous Item, Rare
This small orb features a wintery scene of a wooden cabin with snow on the ground. When the snow globe is shaken and placed on a flat surface, you may teleport yourself and up to five willing creatures inside the extradimensional space of the snow globe. Once inside, you will have access to a cabin complete with water, rations, wood, and a stove to keep warm.
If the snow globe is shaken while creatures are inside of it, if the orb is destroyed, or after 8 hours has elapsed, all creatures within it will be ejected and appear in an unoccupied space closest to the orb. Any items left inside the orb also appear in a space outside of the snow globe.
Scroll of Naughty or Nice
Scroll, Rare
This scroll has 12 charges. Use one charge to see where someone might be on the spectrum of evil and good in the past year. To use a charge, write their name in the left column of the scroll. This must be someone that you know and have met within the past year.
The scroll will reveal the accumulation of the creature’s deeds in the past year by displaying the word Good (nice) in green or Evil (naughty) in Red. The brighter the color, the further left or right on the spectrum they are. The fainter/lighter the color, the closer to the middle. After all charges have been used, the scroll will crumble and is destroyed.
Ugly Holiday Armor +1
Leather Armor, Rare
You have a +1 bonus to AC and cold resistance while wearing this leather armor. While wearing this armor, creatures have advantage on saving throws and ability checks against your spells and effects that attempt to charm or persuade them.
This leather armor is decorated with gaudy designs and trinkets.
